Interactive product concept. Sample data, not a live Instagram analysis.
BUILT AROUND CLARITY, NOT CLAIMS
LESS GUESSWORK. MORE CONTEXT.
A follower count tells one part of the story. Comparing who appears in each list adds the context behind the movement.
Keep new following connections separate from newly observed followers. Know which way the relationship goes.
Understand when a change was observed between snapshots, without mistaking it for the exact moment a follow happened.
A focused timeline makes changes easy to scan. Sample and live states are designed to stay unmistakably different.

The planned tracker compares observations. It does not rewind Instagram or reveal a hidden follow history.

A connected service would collect the available following and follower lists as a starting snapshot.
Identify added or removed accounts between observations, with clear timestamps and collection coverage.

THE DETAILS MATTER
Your questions about recent follows, Instagram followers and tracking over time, answered.
Recent Follows is designed to compare snapshots of public profiles over time. The username form checks current profile metadata when HikerAPI is connected. The sample dashboard remains illustrative, and ongoing monitoring and report delivery are not activated yet.
The planned workflow starts with a baseline snapshot of the public following and follower lists available to the service. A later snapshot is compared with that baseline to identify accounts added or removed between observations. Reliable comparison requires sufficient coverage of both snapshots.
Not from this demo. A current following list alone does not establish the chronological order of follows. Snapshot comparison can show which accounts appeared between two observations after monitoring begins; it cannot reconstruct an exact historical timeline.
Following refers to accounts a profile follows. Followers refers to accounts that follow that profile. A change in one list does not imply a change in the other. The demo separates these two views so the direction of each relationship is clear.
Snapshot comparison can group newly observed followers by observation window. It cannot establish the exact order or timestamp of individual follows within that window. List ordering and follower counts alone are not reliable evidence of chronology.
The product is intended for public profiles only. The profile check blocks private profiles and unconfirmed visibility before the email and pricing steps. It does not offer access to private following lists, content or messages.
No Instagram password is requested. The username form opens a server-side profile check when the provider is connected. Checking metadata does not sign you in or begin ongoing monitoring.
A collection schedule has not been finalized. Future intervals will depend on provider availability, permitted access, rate limits and account size. The 24-hour interval in the dashboard is an example, not an advertised collection frequency.
Yes. If an account is followed and then unfollowed between observations, neither snapshot may capture it. Incomplete lists, renamed accounts and collection failures can also affect results. A live implementation must report coverage and compare stable account identifiers where available.
The planned snapshot method cannot recover activity from before a baseline was collected. A useful comparison requires at least two observations. It also cannot prove why a relationship changed or the intent of the people involved.
No. Every profile, avatar, count and change in the demonstration is illustrative. There are no customer testimonials or adoption statistics on this page. The demo is intended to explain the proposed experience without claiming that live tracking already works.
No. Recent Follows is an independent project and is not endorsed by Instagram or Meta. Any future integration will need to respect applicable provider terms and platform requirements.
