Privacy Policy

Recent Follows provides tools for viewing and monitoring changes in publicly accessible Instagram profile information. Questions or requests about your data can be sent to recentfollows@gmail.com.
Information we process
When you create an account, we process your email address and authentication information. If you use Google sign-in, Google provides account information including your email address, name and profile image according to the permissions shown by Google. We use the Google identity and verified email to authenticate you and associate your account with the service. Supabase handles authentication and stores the account information. We do not use Google sign-in to read your Gmail or Google Drive.
When you use tracking, we process the Instagram username and tracking type you select, public profile details, observations and reports. We also keep account, subscription, payment status and consent records needed to provide the service. We receive technical information such as requests and diagnostic logs to operate and secure the site.
How information is used and shared
We use information to authenticate accounts, provide requested searches and monitoring, maintain reports, manage subscriptions, respond to support requests, protect the service and understand site usage. Service providers process information on our behalf: Supabase for authentication and data storage; Vercel for hosting; Stripe for checkout and billing; HikerAPI for public Instagram profile and list data; Google Analytics for site measurement; and, where configured, Resend for email-related services. Google also processes information when you choose Google sign-in. We may disclose information when required by law.
Google user data is used to provide account authentication and associated service features. We do not sell Google user data. Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements where applicable.
Cookies and analytics
Authentication cookies maintain your session and support secure sign-in. Google Analytics is used to measure visits and site usage. It may use cookies or similar technologies. You can manage cookies in your browser; blocking essential cookies may prevent sign-in.
Retention and your choices
Account, monitoring and billing records are retained for the operation of the service and may also be retained where needed for security, disputes or legal obligations. Monitoring reports can remain available after monitoring stops. You can request access, correction or deletion by contacting us at the address above. We may need to verify your identity and retain information where required or permitted by law.
You can disconnect Recent Follows from your Google Account through your Google Account permissions. Disconnecting Google does not automatically delete information already held by Recent Follows; contact us to request deletion.
Security and changes
We use access controls and service providers to help protect information, but no online system can guarantee absolute security. We may update this policy as the service changes; the date above identifies the latest version.
